Bereavement

Whilst bereavement is not a required topic within the DfE statutory guidance for RSHE, we believe it is a crucial topic that needs to be addressed throughout a child's education. This issue is even more pressing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To support schools in providing high quality education on bereavement we recommend utilising the extensive resources developed by Winston’s Wish. Quality assured by the PSHE Association, the resources available include; lesson plans, PowerPoints, activity resources and evaluation resources for Key Stages 1-4.
